Cottage cheese has more protein per calorie than almost any other food. Quick, filling, and blood-sugar friendly.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup low-fat cottage cheese (Good Culture or Daisy brand)
  • ½ cup strawberries, sliced

¼ cup blueberries

  • 1 oz walnuts (about 14 halves)
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)
  • Pinch of cinnamon

Directions

Spoon cottage cheese into a bowl.

  1. Arrange sliced strawberries and blueberries on top.
  2. Sprinkle walnuts over the fruit.
  3. Drizzle with honey if using (adds 20 calories).
  4. Dust with cinnamon. Serve immediately.

Notes

Walnuts contain the highest omega-3 content of any nut — this helps reduce inflammation associated with insulin resistance. The combination of protein + fat in this bowl keeps blood sugar extremely stable for 3–4 hours.
