Ingredients
- 1 lb thick-cut bacon
- 1 cup maple syrup
- 1 cup bourbon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine maple syrup, bourbon, brown sugar, water, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce to form your marinade. Whisk until fully mixed.
- Slice the bacon in half to fit your dehydrator trays and place it in the bowl with the marinade. Make sure each piece is fully covered.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 48 hours, allowing the bacon to soak in all the flavors.
- Once marinated, remove the bacon and place on dehydrator trays, ensuring no pieces are touching.
- Set the dehydrator to 150-160 degrees. Start checking the jerky around the 6-hour mark. It should be ready between six to seven and a half hours.
- Let the jerky cool, then enjoy your Maple Bourbon Bacon Jerky!
