Recipe No. 280 from the U.S. Army’s WWII cookbook — Meat. Quantities are exactly as printed, for 100 servings; a scaled-down 8-serving version is in the notes.

Directions

  1. Prepare meat as in recipe for griddle-broiled meat patties. Arrange patties in baking pans. Bake, uncovered and without water, in slow oven (325° F.) about 45 minutes or until desired degree of doneness is reached.
