Ingredients
- Rice — 15 pounds (7½ No. 56 dippers)
- Salt — 12 ounces (½ mess kit cup)
- Water, boiling — 6 gallons (24 No. 56 dippers)
Directions
- Wash rice thoroughly several times.
- Add rice to rapidly boiling salted water. Heat to boiling point; boil, uncovered, about 30 minutes or until nearly all the water has been absorbed. Stir occasionally with a fork.
- Cover and reduce heat; continue cooking until all the water is absorbed and rice is tender.
