Coney Sauce (Party Line Deli)
Ingredients
- 4 Cups Finely Chopped Spanish Onions
- 4 pounds Ground Beef
- 3 Tablespoon Salt
- 1/2 Teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 Large Handful Crushed Oregano
- 1 6 Oz Can Tomato Paste
- 4 Cups Hot Water
- 2 Tablespoon Kitchen Bouquet Browning & Seasoning Sauce
- 5 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/4 Cup Butter
Directions
- Fry onions in butter until caramelized and set aside.
- Brown ground beef in onion drippings and then mash up with a potato masher until small and crumbly
- Add Onions and remaining ingredients.
Stir well and simmer for about 1 hour.
- Keeps in fridge for up to 5 days and freezes well.
