Ingredients
- 1 cup low-fat cottage cheese (Good Culture or Daisy brand)
- ½ cup strawberries, sliced
¼ cup blueberries
- 1 oz walnuts (about 14 halves)
- 1 tsp honey (optional)
- Pinch of cinnamon
Directions
Spoon cottage cheese into a bowl.
- Arrange sliced strawberries and blueberries on top.
- Sprinkle walnuts over the fruit.
- Drizzle with honey if using (adds 20 calories).
- Dust with cinnamon. Serve immediately.
Notes
Walnuts contain the highest omega-3 content of any nut — this helps reduce inflammation associated with insulin resistance. The combination of protein + fat in this bowl keeps blood sugar extremely stable for 3–4 hours.
