Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cup lukewarm (75 – 80 degree F) water
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 3 cups White Bread Flour
  • 2 tablespoons Dry Milk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 1/2 tablespoon Chives
  • 1/2 tablespoon Marjoram
  • 1/2 tablespoon Thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Basil
  • 3 teaspoons Yeast

Directions

  1. Proof your yeast – In a small bowl, mix water, yeast, and a pinch of the sugar. In a few minutes the top will get foamy; this is your yeast working.
  2. While the yeast is proofing, mix all the other ingredients together. When the yeast has proofed, add it to the mixture and combine.
  3. Turn dough out on to a floured surface and kneed for 5 minutes or until dough becomes elastic. Rub outside of dough with a little olive oil, put into a large bowl and lightly cover with plastic wrap or a tea towel. Put this in a warm spot and let rise until doubled.
  4. Punch down dough, roll into small balls (about an inch) and place on a baking sheet. Lightly cover and let rise until doubled.
  5. Bake in a 325 degree F oven for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
