Gordon Ramsay's Ultimate Burger

Juicy seasoned beef patties topped with melted cheese and served in toasted brioche buns.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb (700 g) ground beef (80/20)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 slices cheddar or American cheese
- 4 brioche buns, halved
- Butter, for toasting
- Lettuce, tomato slices and red onion, to serve
- Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
Directions
- Gently mix the beef with the Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt and pepper, then form into four loose patties slightly wider than the buns. Press a dimple in the center of each.
- Heat the oil in a heavy pan or griddle until very hot. Cook the patties for 3 minutes without pressing, then flip.
- Lay a slice of cheese on each patty and cook a further 2-3 minutes until melted and the burger is cooked to your liking.
- Butter and toast the cut sides of the brioche buns until golden.
- Build each burger with lettuce, tomato, onion and the cheesy patty, and serve immediately.
