Ingredients

  • 3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup slivered almonds
  • 1 cup cashews

Directions

Heat the oven to 250 degrees F.

  1. Toss the oats, almonds, cashews, and coconut together in a large bowl.
  2. Whisk together the brown sugar, maple syrup, oil, and salt, then pour over the dry mixture and stir to coat.

Spread evenly onto a sheet pan.

  1. Bake for about 1 hour 15 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes, until golden and dry.

Remove from the oven and stir in the raisins.

  1. Cool completely, then store in an airtight container.

Notes

Alton Brown’s granola; low-and-slow baking with frequent stirring keeps it evenly crunchy.
