Quick cheesy grits cooked entirely in whole milk and topped with bacon crumbles.

Ingredients

  • 3 1/4 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup quick-cooking grits
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Bacon crumbles, for serving

Directions

  1. Bring the milk to a boil in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the grits, salt, pepper, and butter. Cook, stirring frequently, until the grits are soft.
  3. Stir in the cheese, then top with bacon crumbles to serve.
