Southern Pecan Pie

A classic gooey-sweet pecan pie with a buttery filling and crunchy pecan top.
Ingredients
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 large eggs, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups pecan halves
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, and salt.
Beat in the eggs and vanilla until well combined.
- Stir in the pecans, then pour the filling into the unbaked pie crust.
- Bake for 45 to 55 minutes, until the center is just set and no longer jiggly.
- Cool completely on a rack before slicing.
