A classic gooey-sweet pecan pie with a buttery filling and crunchy pecan top.

Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, and salt.

Beat in the eggs and vanilla until well combined.

  1. Stir in the pecans, then pour the filling into the unbaked pie crust.
  2. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes, until the center is just set and no longer jiggly.
  3. Cool completely on a rack before slicing.
